Not just the move —
the road to it.

Every pole move tells you what to build before you attempt it: which muscles carry it, which drill straightens your line, which move comes first, and what it flows into next. So you go to the studio with a plan instead of copying whatever the class is doing. Conditioning first, prerequisites in order: your body is ready before the move asks for it. Faster progress, lower risk of injury.

Build strength

Conditioning for the exact move: straight-arm hold for Handspring, shoulder load for Ayesha, on-pole and off-pole days.

Straighten the line

Flexibility and alignment drills for the shape you're aiming at — pointed foot, open chest, square hips.

Move to move

What unlocks what. Coquet shows the prerequisite chain so you stop attempting a move that's three steps away.

Combos

Merge the moves you own into sequences that actually flow.

05Reviewing other dancersThe TikTok problem

TikTok is a terrible
study tool.

You find a pole dancer doing the exact move you want. Then you fight the app: it autoplays, it won't slow down, you can't scrub two frames, the good part is 0.4 seconds long, and nobody says what the move is called.

  • Slow any clip to 0.25× and loop the two seconds that matter.
  • Step frame by frame to see the grip change, the hip shift, the exact hand position.
  • Every move in Coquet has its name, level and cues, so you find the drills instead of guessing the hashtag.
  • Save it to that move's page, next to the instructor demo and your own attempts.

Pole dancers ask us this before joining

Is Coquet a good pole dance app for beginners?

Yes. Start with the Absolute Beginner Starter Path: beginner pole moves like Fireman Spin and Front Hook Spin, short lessons on grip and walk, and conditioning that prepares your body.

Can I learn pole dance at home with Coquet?

Yes. Every move has a description, level, technique cues and common mistakes, and demo videos are being added. Coquet also works alongside studio classes, so you can review what you learned between sessions.

Does the app exist yet?

Yes, in private beta on iPhone through TestFlight, and coming to the App Store soon. There's no Android version for now. Early-access members get invites first, tier by tier.

How many pole moves are in the app?

148 today: spins, climbs, sits & holds, inversions, transitions, floorwork, exotic, flexibility and conditioning, from beginner to elite. We add more regularly.

Can I build my own pole combos?

Yes. Pick moves you know and Coquet suggests what flows next, or start from the popular spin and static combos.

How do the pole training programs work?

Pick a goal. You get weekly modules that mix moves, combos, conditioning and lessons, and Coquet tracks every module you finish.

Will it cost money?

There'll be a free tier and a paid one. Founding members keep the launch rate permanently. Nothing is charged today.
